Customers are the main source of income for McDonalds. The colonist of the US were discontent with the treatment they were receiving from the crown in England. They were being brutally taxed by the King, but had no representation in Parliament at all. The King enacted many taxes on every day materials such as tea, newspaper, and sugar, that Englishman in the mother-country would never be taxed on. As a result of the taxes, many uproars and riots occurred between the English Army and the colonists. These events occurring in sequential order ultimately led to the ‘shot heard round the world’ at The Battle of Lexington, or better known as the start of the American Revolution. The first fully enforced tax that was imposed upon the colonist was labeled as the Sugar Act which began in 1764. This tax put a tax on exactly as the name implies, sugar.
